In South Carolina, this document below (commonly called the "Buyer's Agency Agreement,"), has actually existed for quite some time. Before it was a REQUIRED document (as of 2023) for all potential Buyers to sign, I had thankfully been using it for several years as a great tool to both explain the duties and responsibilities I/the firm have towards my Buyer clients, but also what's needed by YOU, the Buyer. This is a big part of the changes occurring in the world of real estate as several states did not have this document or had the contract document, but never used them.
